at WM

When you dream of the perfect job, do characteristics immediately come to mind like:

Working 60 hours weeks?
Doing one menial task over and over for years until you are trusted with impactful work?
Not having a real voice in the day-today business and culture of your firm?
Being expected to sacrifice life events and goals 'for the good of the firm?'

If working like that is what you are after, we have bad news for you. You will not be a good fit for Watson Mowry, PC. Although we are looking for hardworking professionals who take pride in their work and always begin any task with the satisfaction of our clients and intrinsic rewards for a job well done in mind, you will find working at Watson Mowry to have a close knit feel where your co-workers revel in your successes and support you when you need a pick me up. You will find compassion when it is warranted, and praise for exceptional work. In short, we think you will be happy here. And that's not something that can be said for all CPA firms.

APPLICANT FAQ

WHERE IS WATSON MOWRY LOCATED?

Watson Mowry is a leading CPA firm located in Williamsburg, Virginia.

WHAT KIND OF SALARY CAN I EXPECT AT WM?

If what you are after is a huge payday after years being ground to a nub, then we are probably not what you are looking for. We offer competitive pay for our local area, with additional unpaid rewards like work life balance, making a real difference, and meeting real milestones much faster than larger firms.

WHAT ARE YOUR WORKING HOURS?

We are open 8AM-8PM in tax season, and that is the busiest time of the year. In that period we offer free paid catered lunches!

Outside of tax season our working hours are 8-5:00PM, with four day, 32 hour weeks in June, July, August, November and December. We also escape the office routinely to have fun together.

WHAT IS YOUR DRESS CODE?

Our office (with very rare exceptions) is business casual. Sometimes it's even more casual than that, depending on what is going on at that time.

WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE FREE FOOD AGAIN?

While we are working long days in tax season, we offer free catered lunches!
